SHYNIT™ Insurance Schedule for Roadside Services
Version 2026-10-26. In effect from October 26, 2026.
SHYNIT™ Insurance Schedule for Roadside Services
This is the SHYNIT™ Insurance Schedule referred to in the Shyner Service Agreement. It applies to all Shyners performing roadside assistance services (battery jump-starts, tire changes and emergency fuel delivery).
1. Required insurance coverage
Before accepting roadside assistance jobs through the SHYNIT™ platform, each Shyner must maintain the following insurance, issued by an insurer authorized to provide the applicable coverage in the state where services are performed.
A. Commercial General Liability (CGL)
- Minimum: $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate.
- Coverage must apply to the Shyner's roadside service operations, including bodily injury and third-party property damage.
B. Commercial Automobile Liability
- Minimum: $1,000,000 combined single limit per accident.
- Coverage must apply to vehicles used to perform roadside services, including applicable owned, hired, and non-owned vehicles.
- Personal automobile insurance alone is insufficient unless the insurer confirms in writing that the policy covers the specific business activities performed.
C. Additional coverage where applicable
- Workers' compensation and employers' liability as required by applicable law.
- Garagekeepers, on-hook, towing, or other specialized coverage when required by law or applicable to the services performed.
- Any additional insurance required by SHYNIT™'s insurance carrier or a particular service agreement.
2. SHYNIT™ named on the policy
Where available and approved by SHYNIT™'s insurance broker and the applicable insurer, the Shyner's commercial general liability policy must name AKU Technologies, Inc., doing business as SHYNIT™, as an additional insured for liability arising from the Shyner's covered operations.
Automobile liability policies must include SHYNIT™ as an additional insured where available and applicable. All required endorsements must be obtained; listing SHYNIT™ as a certificate holder alone does not confer additional-insured status.
Required coverage should be primary and non-contributory where contractually available and supported by the policy.
3. Proof of insurance
Before activation for roadside jobs, every Shyner must submit:
- A current Certificate of Insurance (COI) issued by the insurer or authorized insurance producer.
- Copies of applicable additional-insured endorsements and any other required endorsements.
- Proof of applicable commercial automobile coverage, including confirmation that the policy covers the services performed.
- Any required licenses, registrations, permits, or other regulatory documentation.
SHYNIT™ may verify submitted documents with the insurer or insurance producer.
4. Continuing compliance and suspension
Shyners must maintain all required coverage continuously and promptly report any cancellation, nonrenewal, lapse, material reduction in coverage, or change affecting eligibility.
SHYNIT™ may suspend roadside-service access immediately when required insurance expires, cannot be verified, or no longer satisfies these requirements. Access may be restored only after satisfactory proof of compliance is received and verified.
Providing false, altered, or misleading insurance documentation may result in account suspension or termination, subject to applicable law and the Shyner Service Agreement.
5. Responsibility and legal compliance
Each Shyner is responsible for maintaining legally required insurance and complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. These platform requirements establish minimum eligibility standards and do not guarantee that any particular policy covers a specific loss. Towing and vehicle-transport operations may trigger separate regulatory requirements.
Company: AKU Technologies, Inc., doing business as SHYNIT™.
