Flat tire? What to do next
What to do when you get a flat, and how a Shyner can fit your spare or inflate your tires where you are.
Updated October 20, 2026. Prices are live from Shynit.
First, get safe
- If you are on a road, turn on your hazard lights.
- If you can, move the car off the road, away from moving traffic. If you cannot, stay well away from passing cars while you wait.
- If anyone is hurt or in danger, call 911 first.
- Do not drive far on a flat tire: it can damage the wheel.
If you have a spare
A Shyner can come to you and fit your spare. If a tire is only low rather than flat, they can correct the pressures on all four. Shynit's tire help is fitting your own spare and inflating tires; it does not repair or sell tires.
- Open the Shynit app and choose what you need.
- Share where you are. You see the price before you confirm.
- The nearest available Shyner accepts and comes to you. You can track them on the live map.
- Spare tire installation: $59.00. Your spare fitted at the roadside.
- After-hours / emergency: $79.00. A spare fitted outside normal hours.
- Tire inflation: $29.00. Pressures corrected on all four.
After the spare is on
Many spares are made for short distances at lower speeds: check the label on yours. Have the flat tire repaired or replaced as soon as you can.
